Lens-Artists Challenge #144…Taking Flight

The challenge for this week offered by Tina is about taking flight.  She’s looking for shots of flying objects of any kind.  Here’s a few that should work…

Fun to see kites flying around at the beach.
And then there’s the always present seagulls searching for food…
Caught this one zooming in towards the shore.
Didn’t see this guy sneak into my shot of Alcatraz.
Here’s a nice shot of a bluebird hanging around my backyard just before it took off.
And speaking of taking off, got a chance to hit the Venice Beach courts in LA a few years back. Unfortunately, this shot was taken just prior to my rising up for a breakaway dunk. Hmmm, guess you’ll just have to take my word for it. 🙂

Thanks to Tina for the Lens-Artists Challenge idea this week.

  1. So joyful to see kites flying, love the image. Beautiful bird captures, the one flying above the water is really cool. I take your word for it, Andy! 🙂

  2. LOL for your closing image and thought balloon Andy – very clever! And I’m sure your dunk was awesome. I always smile like to see your name pop up in the reader and as always your post brought me a smile. Loved the kites – they’ve come a long way since “back in the day” when they were always just triangular. Now they come in all shapes, sizes and colors as you’ve clearly shown! Loved your birds as well – hope your spring has sprung out there by now!

    • Thanks Tina, glad you enjoyed it. I’m getting ready to bring me and my camera out of hibernation…lol. Although we’re supposed to get snow showers next Wednesday…ugh! But the good news is golf day is Tuesday and it’s supposed to be in the mid 60s 🙂

      • 60s….good. Snow showers….bad! Hope the golf comes off Andy – always great that first time out for the season. Looking forward to e-seeing more of you!
