The photo challenge this week is an invitation for Getting To Know You by showing a relationship with a subject we photographed. For me, I’m not much for digging deep into analyzing why I took a picture. I generally try and keep it simple with the goal of getting shots that are pleasing to the eye.

That being said, there is one subject that comes to mind for some reason I guess I have some strange connection to when I see it. And I don’t know why but I can’t resist taking shots of those wooden slat fences at the beach.

Thanks to Scillagrace for the Lens-Artists Challenge idea this week.
Great photos, excellent perspective.
Thanks John…
Thanks for joining the challenge! I love the grasses and fences in the sand…they will always remind me of summers at my grandmother’s beach cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan. They give your eye a path to follow and invite your imagination to invent adventures at the end of that path. Plus, they lend a certain structure and stability that makes it safe to explore, especially for a child. Great post!
Thanks…glad they brought back some nice memories for you 🙂
Beautiful images. I love the simplicity of the first image
Thanks I.J…that first one is a favorite of mine with the fence soaking in the warm morning sun.
draw. Always DRAW the eye. Duh
I’m with you Andy. Somehow those fences always the eye. You’ve captured them beautifully. Funny how they seem to be everywhere there’s a beach!
Thanks Tina…yeah, I think the connection for me is the beach 🙂
These image are pleasing to the eye, Andy. I like how you capture these fences from different angles.
Thanks Amy…
