For the photo challenge this week, Tina is asking us to come up with our own subject for our post. With winter just around the corner, I thought it might be a good time to do sort of a fairwell to fall this year post.
Thanks to Tina of Travels and Trifles for heading up the challenge this week.
Lovely gingko leaves! They are one of my favorite trees.
A beautiful post, Andy. In that sea of Ginkgo leaves, I would gladly swim! I love Ginkgo trees, and were fortunate once to see a great many in Beijing, golden, and the people doing their morning gymnastics with swords. All silence. I will never forget that. Since then I have been trying to grow Ginkgo, and now I have a small tree – longing for it to give a sea of leaves too!
I enjoyed reading your post Andy and seeing all of your beautiful pictures! A great way to remind us of how lovely nature’s colors are.
Thanks Sylvia…Fall colors are why it’s one of my favorite times to be out with my camera 🙂
Beautiful, indeed! Love this post, Andy. I saw some gorgeous ginkgo leaves last week. They are gone this week.
Thanks Amy…yeah, they seem to all fall at the same time. I managed to catch these on the weekend before the maintenance crew got to them with the leaf blowers…lol.
Beautiful. I love the ‘sea’ too.
Excellent choice Andy – did you take the photos a few weeks back or did you have a late fall this year out there? I absolutely loved the yellow leaves – for some reason I want to say they’re ginkgo, is that true? If not do you know what they are? The “sea of leaves” image is especially wonderful. And I really liked your titles this week. Nicely done.
Thanks Tina…these shots are from about three weeks ago. As far as the yellow leaves go, I didn’t know what they were but posted a shot of one on my last post and you said they were ginkgo leaves so I’m going with that…lol.
The Sea of Leaves is outstanding!
Thanks Pam…I really like that one too.
