We’re going ‘urban’ for the photo challenge this week…looking for shots of cities or towns where
you live or have visited. That means it’s hometown Pittsburgh for me…

Sports are also a big part of the Pittsburgh culture and two of the local teams have their homes
right there on the shore of the Allegheny River.

The Monongahela River is on the other side of the Point. There you can catch a ride on the Duquesne Incline taking you up to Mt. Washington.

And no visit to the Strip is complete without a stop at Primanti’s for one of Pittsburgh’s all time favorite sandwiches.
Thanks to Sofia for the theme for the photo challenge this week.
That sandwich looks so yum! Thanks for taking me along 👍
Thanks for the tour…and the sandwich!
Your welcome Anne-Christine…lol. Thanks for the comment 🙂
;-D
I always love a city view from the water level.
Agree. Thanks for the comment Teresa.
Thanks for the wonderful tour AEK! I’ve never been to Pittsburg. Your photos are great. Two favorites the confluence of the rivers and that sandwich. That’s something I could never eat!
Your welcome Anne…the cole slaw on the sandwich makes it go down pretty easy 🙂 Thanks for the comment.
😊
A great photo of the two rivers that run thru it. Thank you for the tour of Pittsburgh, Andy!
Your welcome Amy, thanks for the comment 🙂
Great photos. Yet another cliffhanger from the Steelers today! How do they do it?!
Thanks John…crazy game, still can’t believe they won it.
Looks like a really cool place, your photos are gorgeous but how do you eat such a sandwich, it’s massive!
Thanks Sofia. Yeah, that sandwich is a handful but sooo good 🙂
Some very fond memories from back in my college days I must admit, altho it’s hard to believe I can remember that long ago! A great city, and a great sports town. Some excellent images of terrific highlights. But what on earth is in that sandwich?!??!
Hahaha…so the trademark of the sandwich is that it has french fries and cole slaw right on it instead of on the side. There’s a variety of options, corned beef, roast beef, capicola, egg, ham, etc…all good! Glad I could stir some happy memories for you Tina. 🙂
