A while back, I took a tour of the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, where they filmed the movie ‘Shawshank Redemption’ and thought a ‘peek’ inside would work for this week’s challenge.
The entrance which I’m sure wasn’t a happy site for incoming prisoners.
The tour starts with a climb up the stairs.
And then into the prison cell area.
The long line of cells in the cell block.
The inside has gotten pretty beat up over the years since the prison closed in 1984.
It certainly adds a ‘creepiness’ to the place.

The two stars of the movie…Tim Robbins (Andy Dufresne) and Morgan Freeman (Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding).

Coincidentally Shawshank Redemption was showing on TV here in SC today – a great movie. Loved your photos of how it looks today – especially the more yellow-toned images. Well done Andy!
