Interesting photo challenge this week offered by guest host Lindy. She asks us to, in words and photographs, post what shows our sense of wonder and excitement. So I thought I’d start off kinda like that song goes – “Here are a few of my favorite things”…

And then there’s that feeling you get when you go someplace where you haven’t been before and there are photo opportunities everywhere. You feel like a kid in a candy store. A few of those places for me were…

Thanks to Lindy Low Le Coq for the photo challenge theme this week.
Great photos. Frick Park and Carrie Furnace are my faves. 👏
Thanks John…
Great presentation – my favourites must be Frick Park and the Carrie furnace. My son is an old abandoned places freak, so…
He would love that place…lol. Thanks Anne-Christine 🙂
😀
Thank you for sharing your passions, Andy! The autumn image of Frick Park is so beautiful. Love the golf field, breathtaking…
Thanks Amy…
This post is a great review of your favorite things!
Thanks Anne…
somehow I knew baseball and maybe golf would figure into your response Andy, but the hoops image was a surprise! Your Frick image is outstanding. I do miss those autumn colors.
Ahhh Tina, if I would have only known I would stop growing at 5’9″ I would have picked up a tennis racquet or a golf club when I was younger instead of a basketball. May have missed my calling…lol.
LOL, hindsight is always 20-20 Andy. My very good friend’s son has his heart set on a Bball career and as a senior in HS has worked really hard to be terrific but is only 5’10. I expect he’s in for a similar discovery – hopefully sooner vs later!
Great sequence of places and activities that bring you joy Andy! I share a love of baseball with you, and am fascinated by old structures like the Carrie Furnace site. My favorite, of course (being the nature lover I am!) is the autumn colors in Frick Park. Thanks for joining in the fun.
Thanks Lindy…appreciate the comment 🙂
